David is a Colorado native and was raised in Denver along with his eight siblings. He married his wife Stephanie in 1970 and presently has two children, eight grandchildren, and is anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first great-grandchild. David was an active volunteer at the church they attended for over twenty years, leading marriage and personal growth studies, and directing the youth group activities for fifteen years. He operated a successful small business for eight and a half years until a large competitor bought it, giving them the opportunity to purchase property in Teller County, take a short “retirement” and build their own home in the mountains. Which their children also pulled up stakes and followed them to their new surroundings. David is currently involved in the construction industry providing crane service to local framers and contractors. Hobbies include hiking, gardening, fishing, and any time they can spend with their grandkids. David also enjoyed volunteering at the Cripple Creek Rehab and Wellness Center.
